Prompt
Original piano quintet scherzo (two violins, viola, cello, piano) in C minor, 3/4, Allegro molto (about 144 bpm). Scherzo: staccato violin theme over pulsing inner strings and piano bass/chords, passed to piano, then a sequence through Fm, Bb7, Eb, Ab. Trio in A-flat major: lyrical melody passed piano to violin to cello to viola over sustained strings and piano arpeggios. Scherzo da capo with the theme in the cello, then an accelerating coda ending on hammered C minor chords. About 2:25.
